Abstract

Eriocnemis dyselius Elliot, 1872 is hypothesized to be a melanistic specimen of Eriocnemis cupreoventris (Fraser, 1840), a puffleg hummingbird restricted to the Andes Mountains of Colombia and Venezuela.
