This undergraduate course is an anthropology elective at Loyola University Chicago. It relies on the use of objects from the May Weber Ethnographic Study Collection, a research and teaching collection. Originally conceptualized and taught in person in the instructional/research space adjacent to collections storage, these documents were developed and/or modified for use in an online version of the course. The online course required students to have physical access to four objects from the May Weber Ethnographic Study Collection. Objects were provided via a loan and all objects were returned in good condition. Students who take this course have typically never taken a course on museums, or a lab or research methods course. This course is considered ‘writing intensive’.en_US
