Abstract
This is a list of 279 medials and other non-initial, non-final stem formants found in Meskwaki verbs, nouns, and particles.
Description
The original manuscripts containing the stories and scholarship containing the words from which most of these medials were extracted were composed between 1911 and 1938 and are now housed in the Truman Michelson Collection of the Smithsonian Institution's National Anthropological Archives. They were written in Meskwaki papepipo. The medials and other non-initial, non-final stem formants composing this list were phonemicized, glossed, and analyzed by Lucy Thomason with advice from Ives Goddard.
