Abstract
This is a winter story about a man who contends with Hill-Owner (who then turns into a turkey vulture) and then successfully marries the youngest of an ogress' ice maiden daughters.

The original manuscript of this story is in the Truman Michelson Collection of the Smithsonian Institution's National Anthropological Archives. It was written by Sa:kihtanohkwe:ha sometime between 1911 and 1914. The version given here was transcribed, phonemicized, otherwise edited, and translated by Ives Goddard.
