dc.description.abstractThe seed-boring behavior of clearwing moths is discussed, in particular that of Carmenta foraseminis Eichlin reared from seeds of Gustavia superba (Lecythidaceae) in Panama. Larval food plant and distribution data for a complex of similar species are provided.
