The data release contains a literature synthesis of tidal wetland soil carbon profiles. The data itself is housed in five separate .csv files which can by joined by the core_id and/or site_id attributes. The files contain version one of the publicly available tidal wetland soil carbon data. 

V1_Holmquist_2018_methods_data.csv - Contains information on materials and methods broken down by study 
V1_Holmquist_2018_core_data.csv - Contains positional and descriptive information on core locations.
V1_Holmquist_2018_depth_series_data.csv - Contains raw depth-series information for all cores.
V1_Holmquist_2018_impact_data.csv - Contains information on the anthropogenic impacts at coring locations.
V1_Holmquist_2018_species_data.csv - Contains information on the dominant plant species present impacts at coring locations.

metadata.xml - Contains a full suite of descriptive metadata with all attribute and variables defined, units clarified, and geographic, temporal, and taxonomic coverages described according to Ecological Metadata Language Standards.

metadata.html - Is a simplified, visual and interactive version of metadata.xml for display purposes.

map.html - Is a map widget showing the geographic coverages described in the metadata. It can be accessed on its own or through metadata.html

custom.css - Contains display information for metadata.html

worksCited.bib - Is a text file containing citation information in bibtex style for all sources used in this literature synthesis. Anyone downloading and reusing this dataset should take care to cite both this data release and any primary sources used.

citation - Is a plain text file containing the citation policy for this data release.

versionInformation - contains information about this version of the dataset and how it relates to previous versions.
