March 28 - Leaving, Dr. Egbert Leigh for the U.S. where he will be touring various universities • and presenting seminars. Arriving, Dr. Richard Hughes, University College of North Wales, to conduct studies on marine snails and their effect on aquatic plant populations. He will be accompanied by his family and will be working at the Naos Marine Lab until May 10. March 29 - Arriving, Dr. Alan Grinnell and assistant Roald Reverud, UCLA,to spend one month on BCI and work on Neurophysiolo- gical experiments on Pternot us occidentalis. March 30 - Leaving, Dr. Carol Jopling, STRI Library, on official business to Washington, D.C. She will be returning to STRI on April 12th. March 31 - Arriving, BiancaD'Andria, Universidad Simon Bolivar, Caracas, Venezuela, on an EXXON Assistantship, to work with Dr. Stan Rand on a Study of Hatching Success and Parental Care in Crocodiles in the BCNM. She will be at STRI for 3 months. #12 March 26, 1982 SEMINAR NEWS The luncheon seminar on Tuesday, March 30th will be given by Dr. Leonard Freed, SI Postdoctoral Fellow from the University of Iow~. The subject of this seminar will be: Breeding biology of Housewrens: new dues of the avian life history phenomenon This seminar will be given in the ANCON CONFERENCE ROOM. There will be plenty of chairs but we will have a natural environment: · electric fans J until the new air-conditioning unit is installed.
